Our Pastor

Pastor Paul Blake, wife Shelle, along with their daughters Rachel and Sarah are privileged to shepherd the West Lenexa Seventh Day Adventist Church. Pastor Blake is a graduate of Platte Valley Academy in Shelton NE and received his Bachelors degree in Theology from Union College of Lincoln, NE. After Union College his internship was in the Cedar Rapids Iowa District where Rachel was born. After 18 months there the family moved to Berrien Springs, MI where Paul received his Masters of Divinity from Andrews University.

Immediately afterwards the family served in the Lebanon Missouri district where Sarah was born. After nearly 4 years in Missouri the call to minister at the West Lenexa SDA church came and this family of four accepted that call.

Pastor Blake has a passion for families and our little church strives to be a welcome place for anyone seeking to follow the Lord Jesus Christ. Our church focus is to introduce people to Jesus, proclaim His word, and allow Him to create an atmosphere in which He can nourish people through Christian fellowship.

Visitors are always welcomed with enthusiasm and open arms. Join us in worshiping God in Spirit and in Truth. This warm church family has services on Saturday the seventh day of the week in accordance with the New Covenant teaching that God will write his Laws in our hearts (Hebrews 8:8-10). And this Christian family also looks forward to and proclaims the heavenly hope of the Second Coming when, together with those who have fallen asleep in Jesus, God’s children will meet the Lord in the air and then spend eternity together with our God and Savior Jesus Christ (Thessalonians 4:16,17).

Pastor Blake wants to personally invite you to drop by any Sabbath and join us in worshiping and serving God! Because God loves each one in this world with an “everlasting love” (Jeremiah 31:3). That love is proclaimed in our congregation by lifting high the cross of Christ and allow the power of that cross to draw All people to Jesus (John 12:32)!
